Alder King tops the Estates Gazette South West table for 17th year

Property consultancy Alder King has retained its title as the South West’s Most Active Agent for the 17th year in succession.  As well as winning the overall title, the firm was also ranked top in the office, industrial and investment sectors.

The annual deals competition was run by leading property publication Estates Gazette which commented: “Bookies would have stopped taking bets on the South West title some time ago and it will come as a surprise to precisely no one in the market that Alder King has now chalked up 17 overall wins.  It once again struck up commanding leads in offices, industrial and investment.”

The rankings present a comprehensive breakdown of 2017 deal activity across all areas of the UK and across all major use types.

imon Price, head of agency at Alder King, commented: “Winning the overall title for a 17th time, and coming top in three sectors, is a fantastic accolade and something no other firm in England has achieved.  It is testament to the quality of advice, market knowledge and customer service that our teams across the region provide to clients.

“Last year we were involved in many of the region’s largest and most significant transactions, acting for landlords and developers as well as occupiers looking to acquire space in a highly competitive market.

“These include acquiring a 46,000 sq ft cold store facility at Armstrong Way in Yate for Charles Saunders, one of the largest food service companies in the South West, securing 55,000 sq ft of office lettings at The Chocolate Factory in Keynsham on behalf of St Monica Trust, and signing a 64,500 sq ft pre-let to Graphic Controls on behalf of Midas Commercial Development at Torbay Business Park in Devon.

“Prospects for 2018 look very encouraging with more high profile transactions in the pipeline despite tightening supply in many locations.  We look forward to building further on our market-leading position.”
