Opportunities at Alder King

Alder King has in place a system of Graduate Mentoring and review to ensure Graduates have the best possible chance of passing the APC at the first attempt.  At Alder King Graduates have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our business ensuring a great start to their career.

Although we do not exercise a formalised rotation programme, Graduates are given the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different specialist areas, in order to gain relevant experience.

Training & Development

At Alder King we recognise the importance of Continuing Professional Development and each year a comprehensive in-house training programme is organised.

Every surveyor also has the opportunity to improve personal skills and a Personal Skills Development Programme is in place, covering areas such as Presentation, Meeting Room and Negotiation Skills, as well as Personal Effectiveness and Networking Programmes.

As part of our Graduate Mentoring Programme you will have six monthly personal development reviews.  You will also have the benefit of regular liaison with an RICS Regional Training Advisor through the RICS Structured Training Agreement and regular reviews with a Supervising Officer and Counsellor.

The Social Scene

Of course it’s not all work at Alder King as we play as hard as we work.  Our Social Committee arrange a variety of events throughout the year, including sporting events, themed Dinners, Treasure Hunt, Pub Quiz etc, which together with the Alder King Staff Conference and Summer and Christmas Party encourages everyone to mix in a social environment.

We have an Alder King five-a-side football and softball team and participate in Golf, Rugby and other events challenging ourselves, our clients and our competitors.
