Horsemarling Farm site in Stonehouse offered for residential development

Property consultants Alder King have been instructed by Gloucestershire County Council to market the Horsemarling Farm site at Standish in Stonehouse.

The 2.84 acre site includes a Grade II Listed farm house, existing barns and adjoining land and already benefits from outline planning consent and Listed Building Consent.  Offers for the site are invited in excess of £1.5 million.

The planning consent for the property provides for the conversion of the farm house to create two semi-detached dwellings, the conversion of two traditional redundant barns into four dwellings, the re-building and extension of a third barn into a three bedroom dwelling and the replacement of the modern barns with 10 new build dwellings. 

A Section 106 Agreement requires the provision an off-site open space contribution and five affordable homes available for rent or shared ownership.

The property will be sold by informal tender with offers invited by 5.30pm on Friday 11December.  A viewing day has been arranged for Thursday 19 November and, as a result of strong early interest, a further date will be arranged shortly.

The site is prominently located at the junction with Horsemarling Lane just north of Stonehouse town centre.
