Claypits Farm site near Eastington, Gloucestershire to be sold for residential development

Gloucestershire County Council has instructed property consultants Alder King to market the freehold of a 4.67 acre residential conversion and development plot, just outside the village of Eastington near Stonehouse.

The site, known as Claypits Farm, comprises a substantial 18th century, Grade II Listed farmhouse, two adjoining detached barns, two development plots, a number of modern agricultural buildings, an orchard and amenity land.

Located adjacent to open countryside, Claypits also benefits from excellent access to the A38 which provides links to the A419 and Junction 13 of the M5 motorway.

The property benefits from planning permission and Listed building consent for the conversion of the detached barns into two dwellings, demolition of the redundant farm buildings and the erection of two dwellings, with associated access alterations.

The property will be sold by informal tender and Alder King is inviting offers in excess of £900,000 by midday on Friday 13th January 2017.  Two viewing days have been arranged for prospective bidders on Thursday 24th November (9am – 11am) and Thursday 15th December (12 noon – 2.30pm).  A detailed information pack is available from Alder King.

Phil Pratt, partner at Alder King’s Gloucester office, said: “This plot offers a unique opportunity for the conversion and new development of a number of quality dwellings in an attractive rural location.  As with all residential development opportunities, we’re expecting strong interest from developers.”
