They take over from Tim Heal, who established the office in 1980. Adrian and Philip joined the business in 1986 and 1987 respectively, both becoming partners in 1998. The team have been involved in many significant projects which have helped shape the county over the last 30 years including Gloucester Docks, Gloucester Business Park, St Oswalds Park and Waterwells Business Park. Their work has established Alder King as the most active commercial property agency and development consultants in Gloucestershire.
Tim, who will now concentrate on special projects and development consultancy, commented: “After over 30 years at the helm I am delighted to pass over leadership to Adrian and Philip: both are very loyal to the firm, have unrivalled local knowledge and expertise in their specialist fields and have worked closely with me for the last 25 years.
“I am confident they will continue to move our business forward in Gloucestershire.”
Adrian and Philip are looking forward to their new role and commented: “Whilst the property market remains challenging, we see real reasons to be optimistic for the future. There has been considerable activity in the occupational sector in the last two years and a number of significant development projects are gaining real momentum. The county remains well placed to capitalise on its diverse business sectors and its readily available land supply.
“The current stage of the economic cycle also provides opportunities for the non-transactional side of our business, which comprises a full range of services. We have confidence in the local market and have recruited additional staff to provide professional and rating advice to our clients across the county.”
