55 New Road will be utilised by the BHF for the sale of furniture and electrical goods.
The property, which was formerly occupied by Allied Carpets, is a large retail shop in a busy part of Chippenham Town Centre.
Chris Besant Head of Estates at BHF said: “It is an exciting time for the British Heart Foundation. BHF Shops raised £26 million last year in the fight against heart disease. We’re looking forward to welcoming the Chippenham community into our new Furniture & Electrical Store”.
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH said: “The BHF is a welcome addition to the retail mix in Chippenham High Street. This large unit has undergone extensive refurbishment in the past few years. The frontage of the unit was of particular importance to BHF, and with the help of Wiltshire Council, we have been able to ensure a strong presence has been achieved.”
Alison Williams, Senior Surveyor at Alder King Property consultants who managed the letting, comments “55 New Road meets all the essential criteria the BHF were seeking, such as a wide shop frontage, prominent location and rear access. They will also benefit from plenty of trade as a result of the passing footfall in this busy location.”
