James is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of public and third sector consultancy and agency services at Alder King.  He has over 25 years’ experience in the provision of development consultancy and agency advice in respect of residential, commercial and mixed use development schemes nationwide.

His expertise includes development economics, including the viability of small to large scale mixed use schemes and residential developments for public sector bodies, private land owners and developers.

James also has a particular expertise in loss of employment land and option exercise cases, acting on behalf of private clients and landowners across the UK, as an expert witness.

James is a member of the RICS and RTPI.  He is also the former Chairman of the Great Western branch of the Forum for the Built Environment and a past President of the Residential Development Agents Association (RABD).
