Alder King makes another two senior appointments
Alder King has further strengthened its team in Cardiff with two more senior appointments. Simon Lewis has joined as partner to head up Alder King’s building consultancy services in South Wales while Helen James has been appointed as an associate specialising in valuation.
Simon and Helen’s arrival follows the appointment of partner Lee Lapham, who joined Alder King from JLL in October, and partner James Nicholas who joined from Hansteen earlier in the year as part of a strategic move to develop Alder King’s offer in Wales.
Simon has joined Alder King after 17 years with Tuffin Ferraby Taylor in Cardiff. An experienced building surveyor, he provides specialist professional and project building consultancy advice to a variety of commercial property investors, developers, owners and occupiers.
Simon has a particular specialism in project management, contract administration and dilapidations as well as technical due diligence and survey works both in the UK and Europe.
Associate Helen James has joined Alder King after 14 years with JLL in Cardiff where she worked closely with Lee Lapham prior to his move to Alder King. With over 23 years’ experience in the field of valuation, she will focus on commercial property valuations on behalf of High Street lenders and private and public sector organisations across South Wales.
Helen is also the current chairman of the South Wales branch of Women in Property, a networking and professional development organisation supporting women working in the property and construction disciplines.
Owen Young, partner and head of Alder King’s office in Cardiff, said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon and Helen to the team. They bring real depth of experience in their respective fields of building consultancy and valuation which will enhance our service to clients.
“Together with Lee and James who joined us earlier this year, we now have a strong and confident team with excellent contacts within the South Wales business community which will enable us to secure new instructions in a market that’s growing rapidly in confidence and activity. The next year promises to be a very exciting time for us.”
Alder King’s Cardiff office provides agency, investment, valuation, building consultancy and planning services to a wide range of private and public sector clients including Welsh Government, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, Monmouthshire County Council and Coleg Y Cymoedd.
