Alder King partners lead Bristol professional networking groups

Alder King partners Simon Price and James Chaffer have been elected to lead two of Bristol’s leading professional networking organisations this year.

Simon is this year’s president of the Bristol Property Agents Association (BPAA) while James has been inaugurated chair of the Great Western branch of the Forum of the Built Environment (FBE).

It’s the first time two Alder King partners will lead both organisations simultaneously and reflects the firm’s commitment to fostering a strong and exciting future for the city.

Simon aims to use his year as president to further develop the BPAA’s relationship with local councils as well as longstanding partners such as Business West, using the broad expertise of members in both the commercial and residential markets.  The association will also seek to make a positive contribution to some of the challenges facing the city such as climate change and sustainability, air quality and flood protection, the need for an effective mass transit system and conflicting housing and employment land allocations.  Simon has nominated Feeding Bristol as the BPAA’s charity for the coming year.

In his year as chair of the regional FBE, James and his committee will promote a series of initiatives, including continuing efforts to create more inclusive and supportive workplaces and networking events which welcome under-represented groups, including ethnic minority, LGBTQ+ and disability communities.  James’ tenure will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Great Western branch’s inception in 2023.
