Alder King strengthens its building consultancy team with new appointment

Leading property consultancy Alder King has strengthened its building consultancy team in Devon with the appointment of Matt Burnett to its Exeter office.

Matt has joined the award-winning firm after seven years’ employment with a regional surveying practice in Exeter, working on a variety of projects in the education, defence, commercial and residential sectors.

Matt joins Alder King’s building consultancy partners Andrew Edmondson and James Jacobs in providing a range of commercial building services across the UK.  These include dilapidations, project management, refurbishment and construction, contract administration, building surveys and capital allowance assessments.

Andrew Edmondson, who leads the building consultancy team in Exeter, said: “We have created this new position in the team to help us service a growing number of new instructions, not just in Devon and Cornwall, but across the UK. 

“Matt has very good experience of building surveying across different sectors and is already proving a very valuable member of the team.”

Matt added: “I’m very pleased to have joined such a highly-regarded practice where I can further expand my expertise in new and exciting projects.”

Outside work, Matt plays football for Tedburn St Mary and is a keen supporter of the Exeter Chiefs.
