Alder King’s Night Golf challenge a big hit with Devon’s business community
Over 40 golfers from Devon’s business community will tee off in complete darkness next week, when they take part in property consultancy Alder King’s 14th Night Golf tournament.
The team event, which requires participants to play nine holes of golf in the dark with just glowing golf balls and a torch, has achieved legendary status amongst the South West business community, with even non-golfers keen to join in.
Organiser James Jacobs, partner at Alder King’s Exeter office, says: “As many players will know, golf is difficult enough in broad daylight but our intrepid guests will be teeing off in pitch darkness.
“It’s quite a surreal experience to play in these conditions but great fun. You quickly realise that your navigation is as essential as your swing!”
Last year’s winners Terry Murch of AE Stuart & Sons (above left) and Chris Rorstad of Redrow Homes (above right), pictured with their team host Noel Stevens and James Jacobs of Alder King, will be hoping to retain the trophy at this year’s event which takes place at Fingle Glen Golf Hotel on Thursday 23rd March 2017.
Companies taking part include Barclays Bank, Michelmores, Stephens Scown, Redrow Homes, Persimmon, Foot Anstey, Kensington Taylor and David Wilson.
