Belvedere Court releases urgently needed industrial stock to Weston market
Construction will complete imminently on five speculatively developed industrial/ distribution units at Weston Business Quarter, bringing 10,345 sq ft of freehold/leasehold accommodation to a market in urgent need of quality space.
The development of Belvedere Court at Weston Airfield by KMW Properties Limited provides five new units ranging from 1,394 – 10,345 sq ft, available on a leasehold or freehold basis.
The freehold of Unit 4, comprising 3,100 sq ft, was pre-sold to the local family business Weston Electrical Services and a further 2,164 sq ft unit is already under offer.
The decision to build Phase 2 speculatively was prompted by the successful pre-sale of the first plot in 2015 to Safelab Systems, one of the UK’s leading fume cupboard manufacturers, for a bespoke unit providing 10,426 sq ft of industrial, laboratory and office space.
Emma Smith, senior surveyor at Alder King’s Bristol office, said: “There is particularly strong demand from occupiers in North Somerset looking for small high quality units and a disproportionate demand for freehold opportunities. This has created an opportunity for developers to deliver speculative schemes confident in the knowledge that there is a ready market for their product. There has been a very positive reaction to the developments at Weston Business Quarter which is fast becoming the premier business location in North Somerset.”
