Boston Tea Party to open at Cheswick Village Neighbourhood Centre

Independent café chain Boston Tea Party will open its sixth café in Bristol after agreeing terms on a prominent unit at The Square, a mixed use neighbourhood centre in Cheswick Village, North Bristol.

The café chain has taken the 4,556 sq ft Unit 4 on a new 15 year lease.  It will begin fitting out its unit shortly and will open this autumn, joining the Co-op, Barnardo’s, Happy Days Nursery and Fair and Fresh Produce which have all opened in the past six months.

Property consultancy Alder King negotiated the letting on behalf of Havard Estates.

Rebecca Harries from Alder King’s retail agency team said: “With Boston Tea Party now confirmed and two other units totalling  2,062 sq ft in solicitors’ hands, this 29,500 sq ft development is now nearly 50% let or under offer.

“Neighbourhood schemes like this play an important role in new communities, providing day to day needs and local employment and helping to create a ‘sustainable’ community.  Here we have a diverse and complementary occupier mix providing essential goods and services which are highly valued by the local community and Boston Tea Party will make an excellent addition.”

There are now four units remaining at The Square, providing from 1,300 to 9,968 sq ft, which are available individually or combined.

The Square was developed in early 2015 to provide a community focus for the 1,000 home Cheswick Village development close to the University of the West of England and Abbeywood. It occupies a prominent position within Cheswick Village and is served by convenient car parking.

Nearby McCarthy & Stone’s 32 one and two bedroom retirement living apartments are also under construction. Completion is due in September 2016.
