General Practice Surveyor

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

A key role based within our Taunton office undertaking general agency disposal work, typically the letting or selling of commercial properties (office / industrial / retail) and supporting with the preparation of various types of report and research over a large geographical area.

Timely response is essential in ensuring a seamless service delivery and this role is pivotal in upholding these standards.

You will be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, maintain and grow existing client relationships and generate new business opportunities.

Work with the Head of Office on all aspects and proactively engage with clients to deliver the required service standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To undertake viewings of properties and sites in accordance with company protocols and Health & Safety requirements.
  • In time, to prepare Marketing Reports, marketing particulars and Progress Reports for existing and new instructions.
  • To enter marketing information onto the Contour system accurately and for inclusion on the Alder King website and other websites/portals.
  • To provide clients with regular updates by way of verbal and written communication and deal with all forms of enquiry from applicants and update the Contour/file.
  • In time, to negotiate with interested parties, providing appropriate updates and to prepare Heads of Agreement for any deals.
  • To monitor progress of transactions when in solicitors’ hands and provide any support as required to ensure a smooth and timely transaction.
  • To assist the Partner in preparation of consultancy work/reports.

  • Uphold the Firm’s values at all times during both internal and external dealings
  • Proactively seek out and attend relevant networking events in order to nurture and grow the Firm’s client contacts with the view to generating growth
  • Consistently produce high quality work which, at a minimum, meets client’s expectations. In addition, work collaboratively with third parties as appropriate to ensure you exceed client requirements
  • Willingly share relevant and appropriate knowledge with colleagues and support their development as required

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • RICS qualification or similar, not essential
  • Fluent with all Microsoft packages and relevant to the role IT packages
  • A highly motivated commercial approach, with ability to work as part of a team and be a self-starter working on your own initiative
  • Have strong research, analytical skills and reporting skills
  • Have resilience to work under pressure; have excellent prioritisation, time management, negotiation and organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Possess excellent/good communication and inter-personal skills and, deliver information clearly and succinctly
  • Be proactive and receptive to change, hold a positive ‘can do’ attitude and uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times
  • Hold a clean driving licence

PRIMARY LOCATION

 The role will be based within the Taunton office.  However, due to the nature of our business you may be required to work in other offices from time to time.
