HR Manager, Bristol
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Working with the Head of People and Operations you will be responsible for ensuring our people are supported during the life cycle of their employment. As a generalist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining core processes which add value, support and deliver a slick service to all Alder King people.
As a key person in the Team, you will support the Head of People and Operations to implement the People plan. You will also support by ensuring HR policies and procedures are kept up to date and align with our tone of voice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the provision of high-quality people service to all offices in all areas of People / HR, including resourcing, employee relations, learning and development and reward.
- Working with the Head of People and Operations to deliver the People plan and ensuring operational requirements are in place.
- Proactively analyse and identify areas for improvement and be a key influencer to support change. It is desirable to have experience of automated systems, including HR and expenses systems which add value to team members’ experience.
- Initiate and implement analysis of HR KPIs which monitor the success of HR activities and how activities have added value.
- Be responsible for identifying training needs, source and deliver the training programme.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with this level of position as requested by SMB.

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold the CIPD qualification or be working towards the CIPD qualification.
- Fluent with all Microsoft packages and relevant to the role IT packages.
- A highly motivated commercial approach, with ability to work as part of a team and be a self-starter working on your own initiative.
- Have strong research, analytical skills and reporting skills.
- Have resilience to work under pressure; have excellent prioritisation, time management, negotiation and organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Possess excellent/good communication and inter-personal skills and, deliver information clearly and succinctly.
- Be proactive and receptive to change, hold a positive ‘can do’ attitude and uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times.
- Hold a clean driving licence.
PRIMARY LOCATION
The role will be based within the Bristol office. However, due to the nature of our business you may be required to work in other offices from time to time.
