Marketing Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

This exciting role enables you to have a real input into the direction of Alder King. The key objective is to increase our client base, and this opportunity enables you to take the lead, in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Working Group, in producing the firm’s marketing strategy, supporting objectives and budget.

Covering all aspects of marketing this opportunity enables you to demonstrate your flare and creativity. You will manage and be involved in all aspects of marketing as well as managing external marketing, and working directly with fee earners you will have autonomy to creatively deliver PR content and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Continually monitor, evaluate and report on successes in the achievement of the marketing strategy and objectives, as well as monitoring marketing spend to budget.
  • Identify and measure marketing outcomes and drawing on your experience propose ways to continually increase the efficiency of marketing activities within the Firm.
  • Initiate, manage, evaluate and continually seek to improve on the delivery of our marketing campaigns, including, thought leadership pieces and general PR activities.
  • Drawing on your experience in design, digital, SEO and Google Analytics put in place processes which raise the bar in how Alder King interacts with our client and influencers.
  • Working with fee earners, organising client and influencer events and follow-up post event as appropriate.
  • Oversee and manage our social media accounts and be keen to add flare to the content which sets us apart from our competitors.
  • Produce, manage and maintain content on our website and work with our fee earners to ensure articles, case studies and thought leadership pieces are current and disseminate to the media as appropriate.

GENERAL

  • Uphold the Firm’s values at all times during both internal and external dealings.
  • Proactively seek out and attend relevant networking events in order to nurture and grow the Firm’s client contacts with the view to generating growth.
  • Consistently produce high quality work which, at a minimum, meets client’s expectations. In addition, work collaboratively with third parties as appropriate to ensure you exceed client requirements.
  • Willingly share relevant and appropriate knowledge with colleagues and support their development as required.

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field. Hold the Certificate in Marketing (CIM) or be prepared to study this qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Marketing Executive or in a similar role.
  • Fluent with all Microsoft packages and relevant to the role IT packages.
  • A highly motivated commercial approach, with ability to work as part of a team and be a self-starter working on your own initiative.
  • Have strong research, analytical skills and drafting skills.
  • Have resilience to work under pressure; have excellent prioritisation, time management, negotiation and organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent/good communication and inter-personal skills and, deliver information clearly and succinctly.
  • Be proactive and receptive to change, hold a positive ‘can do’ attitude and uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times.
  • Hold a clean driving licence.

PRIMARY LOCATION

The role will be based within the Bristol office.  However, due to the nature of our business you may be required to work in other offices from time to time
