Acting on behalf of St Monica Trust, Alder King has secured a trio of office lettings at the recently refurbished 100,000 sq ft Chocolate Factory development at Somerdale, Keynsham.
Independent Vetcare, Pukka Herbs and St Augustine’s Medical Practice have all recently relocated to the scheme, taking 47,500 sq ft, 17,000 sq ft and 8,200 sq ft of quality space respectively.
The strong demand for commercial space has helped create a truly mixed use scheme at the Chocolate Quarter which includes assisted living apartments, a care home, café, restaurant and spa. It has also significantly improved Keynsham’s standing as a commercial location.
As well as agency services, we also provided a review of the proposed assets and plans for the property at the development stage, with a view to advising St Monica Trust on the practical operational of the property once complete while also monitoring tenants’ fit-out works.
Following initial consultancy advice our facilities management team was instructed to procure the premises support services. This included the preparation of the support service specification and a full tender exercise and mobilisation of premises support services including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, and security.
We continue to manage the premises support services as well as statutory compliance.
Our planning team is now in the process of obtaining planning permission for Block D.
