Our Residential Development team provided consultancy and agency advice on the disposal of a number of educational sites on behalf of Woodard Schools.
These include the former Moreton House college campus, including a Grade II listed building and playing fields, in Bideford, North Devon. The 12.5 hectare (31 acre) site was sold to a national housebuilder which had planning permission in place for over 350 units.
We also sold the former Grenville College campus in Bideford, a 2.7 hectare (6.7 acre) site, comprising substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas and former educational buildings. Planning permission was subsequently granted for the conversion of the period buildings and 70 new dwellings within the campus.
