Chancerygate secures planning permission for new Bristol development

Leading industrial developer and asset manager Chancerygate has secured planning permission from South Gloucestershire Council for 121,000 sq ft of industrial development at Warmley Business Park on the eastern side of Bristol.

The scheme on the 6.6 acre former Amcor factory site will provide 15 production, distribution or trade counter units ranging in size from 3,700 to 35,000 sq ft.  Units will be available individually or in combination on a freehold or leasehold basis.  Completion of the scheme is scheduled for Q1 2019.

Alastair King, head of development at Chancerygate, comments: “The project will offer local occupiers new Grade A industrial space which has been in short supply in this location for some time.  It will also meet growing demand from owner occupiers for whom the ability to own their operational property is aligned with their business strategy.”

Following its acquisition of the site last year, Chancerygate has also completed the refurbishment of 6,790 sq ft of ground floor offices which are now available to let.

Property consultants Alder King and Burston Cook are acting as joint agents for the scheme.

Andrew Ridler, partner at Alder King, said: “There is a growing focus on north east Bristol which has seen robust residential and commercial development in recent years.  Added to this, the proposal for a new motorway junction just north of Emersons Green is gathering strength and if approved would be a major catalyst for further economic growth.”
