Developers of Gloucester’s Triangle Park in discussions with two national restaurant operators to join new Costa Coffee drive-thru

Chase Commercial, the developers behind the restaurant and retail zone at Gloucester’s Triangle Park, are in discussions with two national restaurant chains which are interested in taking space within phase one of the development.   The prospective occupiers would join Costa Coffee which will open its drive-thru post-practical completion in September.

The success of the restaurant zone’s first phase will provide strong impetus for the second phase.  Planning consent has already been secured for a further three units on the scheme, ranging in size from 1,199 – 1,424 sq ft.  These will be available individually or can be combined and will be available through the Gloucester office of property consultancy Alder King.

Triangle Park on Metz Way is the largest regeneration site in Gloucester.  The restaurant zone occupies a plot in the heart of the scheme and has planning consent for up to 8,191 sq ft of A1 – A5 uses.

Other occupiers at Triangle Park include Morrisons which opened a 70,000 sq ft food store in November 2013.  Last year Rygor Mercedes acquired a three acre site for a 28,000 sq ft commercial vehicle sales and maintenance facility.  Construction is underway and the facility will be ready for occupation in September.  The Spirit Pub Company, now part of Greene King, also acquired a one acre site last year for a pub and children’s play area.

The adjacent employment site was recently given planning consent for 22 new business units.

Adrian Rowley, partner at Alder King, said: “Triangle Park is gathering some real momentum.  With the first phase nearly agreed, we will soon be focusing on the next stage of this high profile regeneration site.”
