Double retail letting at Exeter’s Alphington Retail Park

Acting on the instructions of Eagle One Limited, Alder King and joint agents MacArthur Wilson have let two units at Alphington Retail Park, a prestigious and recently completed 23,000 sq ft retail development in Exeter.

Units 1 and 2, which together provide 9,600 sq ft of space, have been let to Belron UK Limited trading as Autoglass® & Laddaw® on a new 10 year full repairing and insuring lease.

Matthew Mycock, managing director of Belron UK Ltd, comments: “We are delighted to be opening our Autoglass® and Laddaw® supercentre at the Alphington Retail Park.  Having both our businesses under one roof will allow us to be a one-stop-shop for expert vehicle glass replacement and repair products and services.  This bigger supercentre site will offer a wider variety of stock, helping customers in the Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton and Truro areas to find everything they need with minimal hassle and fewer journeys between branches.

“Our technicians and staff will also be able to benefit from being based on one site, with less time spent travelling between locations which will ultimately help to reduce our CO2 emissions and transportation costs. The new supercentre is a great addition to the business and we look forward to welcoming all of our customers when we open at the end of November 2013.”

Scott Rossiter, Partner in the Exeter office of Alder King, comments: “The Belron® UK Ltd letting was the ideal kickstart to this prominent development close to Sainsbury’s and on the edge of the popular Marsh Barton Trading Estate.

“With 13,500 sq ft available as either a single or double unit, the remaining units have retail A1 (bulky goods) planning consent.  We and MacArthur Wilson are already dealing with a significant level of interest in relation to complimentary retailers.”
