Enso Energy expands HQ operation to facilitate continued growth

Agency & Commercial Development

Enso Energy, one of the UK’s most experienced renewable energy developers with a particular focus on solar energy, is relocating its head office to larger premises on Cirencester Office Park.

Since its inception in 2015, Enso has expanded rapidly and delivered over 1,500 MW of energy projects nationwide.  Now, through its partnership with Cero Generation, launched by Macquarie’s Green Investment Group last year, it is developing a pipeline of solar and battery storage projects across the UK in excess of 2 GW.

As a result of such robust growth, the developer has outgrown its current office in Dursley.  It has now agreed a new 10 year lease through property consultants Alder King, acting jointly with Barnsdales, on 4,538 sq ft of space in Units 1 and 2 Cirencester Office Park.

The 20+ strong Enso team will relocate to its new offices in September.

Andrew King, managing director of Enso, said: “We are committed to accelerating the transition to green energy in the UK and have ambitious growth plans with a strong pipeline of future sites both in the planning process and in development.  To support this expansion, we need to upscale our team and establish a more modern head office.

“Our new base will provide a convenient and welcoming location for our existing staff and provide the space for us to take on additional staff.  We are now carrying out a major refit of the accommodation to create very well-appointed open plan space with great facilities and look forward to moving in in the coming weeks.”

Cirencester Office Park is a modern scheme of three office properties to the north west of Cirencester town centre fronting the A429 Tetbury Road.  Enso is taking the ground floor suites of Units 1 and 2, leaving just the two first floor Units, 5 and 6, available.

James Gregory, partner at Alder King, commented: “This new office will provide the Enso team with a strong platform for continued growth.  As well as the internal refit being carried out by Enso, the property will also benefit from a new EV charging point infrastructure to the office car park giving dedicated facilities for the use of each individual suite.
