Home of Lechlade’s former Antiques Arcade comes to the market

Property consultants Alder King has been instructed by Hazelwoods The Liquidator  for Riverside (Lechlade) Limited to sell the former Antiques Arcade in Lechlade.

The Grade II listed property – a traditional Cotswold stone terrace of single and two storey buildings which was originally four separate dwellings – sits in a prominent position within the town’s Conservation Area and offers potential for conversion or change of use, subject to the appropriate planning consents.

The freehold of the property is being offered for sale at a guide price of £395,000.

Internally the accommodation is divided into a series of interconnecting rooms with a wealth of period character, including exposed timber beams, an inglenook fireplace with turned staircase, stone floors and feature window.  In total it provides 4,103 sq ft of accommodation.  Externally there is a garden area to the south of the main buildings which is approached via a side alleyway.

James Gregory, partner at Alder King’s Swindon office, said: “This is an architectural gem – a unique character property in an attractive market town which is also a popular tourist destination.  It offers a number of opportunities for conversion or change of use which we’re confident will generate substantial interest.”

More information on 5-7 High Street, Lechlade is available from our Swindon office on 01793 615477.
