New bar The Siren’s Calling to lure visitors to Portishead Marina

A new luxury waterside bar is set to open in Portishead Marina later this month, following the completion of a recent letting by Alder King.  The Siren’s Calling is due to open on 26th May, on the ground floor of the prominent Sixty 8 at the Marina building on Newfoundland Way.

The new premises form part of a parade of ground floor commercial units overlooking the Marina. The new addition will complement other nearby occupiers and bring a greater vibrancy to the area.

Andy Holian, the owner of The Siren’s Calling says: “This is a very exciting time for me and my team to promote this intimate beer and wine bar in the wonderful setting by the water.  We are looking forward to welcoming our customers, and showcasing some of the best independent products on the market. Working closely with local breweries, wine merchants and farm shops, The Siren’s Calling will truly be a local bar for the local community’.

Fitting out of the interior is now well underway and the premises will include outdoor seating to make the most of the attractive views of the Marina.

Rebecca Harries of Alder King, who acted for the landlord in the transaction, commented: “This waterside unit is superbly located in an attractive residential and leisure area with a high level of passing footfall which will be very good for trade.

“We now have only one retail/restaurant unit remaining in this scheme which occupies a prominent corner spot totalling 4,578 sq ft. The available space can be sub-divided to provide smaller units.”

The Siren’s Calling signed a new 15 year lease on the 1,643 sq ft unit after agreeing terms with the private landlord through Alder King. The Siren’s Calling was unrepresented.
