New development underway at South Trowbridge Business Park

Alder King has been appointed by Persimmon Homes Wessex to market South Trowbridge Business Park, a new 34.3 acre commercial development fronting West Ashton Road and adjoining Persimmon’s latest residential scheme just one mile to the south of Trowbridge in the heart of Wiltshire.

The new business park has outline planning consent for the development of nearly 360,000 sq ft of accommodation suitable for B1 (office and light industrial), B2 (general industrial) and B8 (storage and distribution) uses.

Persimmon is now on site constructing the main arterial road and creating a new roundabout to service the overall development. These works will be completed by Christmas 2013.

James Gregory, partner at Alder King’s Swindon office, believes South Trowbridge Business Park has the potential to be the next significant business location for the town, building on the success of established centres such as White Horse Business Park and Canal Trading Estate.

“This scheme offers opportunities for commercial developers looking for consented land in a strong business location and, with its ready access to the A350 trunk road, it will appeal to office, industrial, warehouse and distribution occupiers requiring new, high quality business accommodation.

Robert Hart, Land Director at Persimmon Homes Wessex said “This proposal adds to the significant recent investment in the town, which has seen the on-going development of 650 new homes by Persimmon Homes adjacent to South Trowbridge Business Park and the new St Stephens Place Leisure Park in the town centre which will include a seven screen Odeon cinema, an 80 bed Premier Inn hotel and seven family restaurants cafes and bars. These schemes follow hot on the heels of Wiltshire Council’s refurbishment and extension of County Hall in the town centre”.

Parties interested in discussing the varied opportunities presented by South Trowbridge Business Park should contact James Gregory at Alder King in Swindon on 01793 615477.
