New life proposed for former Paignton police headquarters
Alder King has been instructed by Devon & Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner to market the freehold interest of the former Police Station in Paignton, Devon.
The site on Southfield Road has the benefit of a residential planning consent for 14 semi-detached and terrace dwellings.
Scott Rossiter, partner in Alder King’s Exeter office, says: “The planning consent is unique as there is no affordable housing requirement on site and therefore all 14 dwellings can be built out and sold to the private market.”
He adds that the site was consented prior to the requirements of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and the S106 developers obligation agreed for the site is capped at only £62,180.
The site is conveniently located in a residential area fronting Southfield Road and is close to the town’s shopping provision.
The site is available on an unconditional basis with the beneficial planning consent in place and offers are sought in the sum of £715,000.
