Newsquest meets deadline with relocation to Edison Park, Swindon
Acting on behalf of Shelbourne Asset Management, Swindon commercial property consultants Smethurst Property Consultants, in conjunction with Knight Frank, have agreed the letting of the ground floor in Richmond House to newspaper group Newsquest who were represented by Alder King.
Daniel Smethurst of Smethurst Property Consultants commented: “This is a requirement that has been in circulation for some time now and we are delighted that Newsquest have chosen Edison Office Park. This is a key letting as it not only reaffirms Edison Park as an office destination of choice, but it also enables Newsquest to evolve as an operation. With another transaction in solicitors’ hands, the Newsquest letting builds on the successful letting of York 4 to BeWiser Insurance”
James Gregory of Alder King added: “Newsquest was keen to retain a significant presence in Swindon and Edison Office Park provided modern offices which are convenient for both their staff and also the general public who will be able to continue to visit the offices.
“Our clients are now fitting out their new offices totalling just over 6,000 sq ft to provide meeting rooms and welfare facilities before moving from their current home at the top of Victoria Road in Old Town in mid-April.”
