Plans submitted for new 30,000 sq ft warehouse at Exeter’s Matford Green Business Park

With over 20 acres of prime employment land at Matford Green Business Park in Exeter now built out for the automotive sector, attention has been turned to delivering much needed warehouse and trade counter space to the market on the remaining six acres.

Detailed plans have been submitted to Exeter City Council for Phase 3 of the development for a new 30,000 sq ft building, capable of sub-division in to four units from 7,500 sq ft.

The scheme has achieved huge success in attracting new car showroom operators to Matford Green, with Vospers’ multi franchise dealership due to open shortly. They will join Audi, Toyota, Lexus, VW and Landrover Jaguar on one of the highest profile dealership locations in the South West.

Noel Stevens, of Alder King in Exeter, said: “With industrial supply at historically low levels, the market is crying out for quality accommodation. This development will suit local, regional and national occupiers and add to the success of Matford Green Business Park.

“Planning has been submitted and we’re looking to have the building completed by the end of the year.  There will remain a final development phase of approximately four acres.”
