Ryder sells former truck rental premises in Cardiff

Truck rental company Ryder Ltd has sold the freehold of its former premises on Penarth Road, a popular trade counter/car sales area in Cardiff, for a figure substantially in excess of the £625,000 quoting price.

The property, which comprises a 8,237 sq ft detached industrial unit and large surfaced yard on a 1.3 acre site, was acquired by 3D Property Investments.

Owen Young, partner at Alder King in Cardiff, which acted for Ryder, said: “This property commanded high levels of interest from both owner occupiers and investors, demonstrating the strong demand and scarce supply of freehold units incorporating sizeable and secure yards.

“As a result of this interest, a round of final and best bids was requested and we were able to secure the disposal to 3D Property Investments Ltd, exceeding the quoting price of £625,000.”
