Specialist engineering firm expands into high specification Swansea unit

Acting on behalf of Welsh Government, property consultants Alder King have secured the letting of Unit B3 Olympus Court, one of three high specification interlinked industrial/warehousing units on the Swansea Vale development in Swansea.

The property, measuring 9,074 sq ft, has been let to SDS Precision Engineering on a new five year lease.

Established in 2007, SDS provides sub-contract precision machining services, specialising in nickel and cobalt-based alloys.  Following a period of sustained growth, it had outgrown its Ammanford premises and has now relocated to the modern, state of the art facility at Olympus Court.

As well as providing larger premises to accommodate future growth, the new unit has been equipped to provide the stringent manufacturing conditions the business requires, with underfloor heating and temperature controlled rooms to minimise measurement uncertainties.

Alder King partner Owen Young said: “These units have been developed to a high specification to help meet growing demand from the high tech manufacturing sector.  We’re pleased to have got the first unit away and to have helped facilitate the expansion of SDS.”

The remaining Units B1 and B2 provide a total of 24,057 sq ft of modern industrial and office space (14,957 sq ft and 9,100 sq ft respectively) and are available individually or combined.  Each unit comes with 70 car parking spaces and a concrete loading apron.
