The Hearing & Mobility Store expands its engineering capacity with Wroughton industrial unit
Wroughton-headquartered The Hearing & Mobility Store Ltd is to relocate its engineering facility to larger premises on Wroughton Business Park to meet increased client demand for its mobility equipment.
Since it was established in 2008, the company, which trades as The Mobility Store, has opened five stores across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire supplying a wide range of mobility, hearing and disability aids.
The servicing of customers’ mobility aids was originally done in-store but two years ago the company opened a small engineering facility in Bassett Down. With a growing number of stores and increased volume of customers, it has since outgrown the available space and began searching for larger premises close to its existing stores.
It has now agreed terms through property consultants Alder King on Unit 8 Wroughton Business Park, a modern light industrial unit. The 2,546 sq ft end of terrace unit will triple the facility’s capability.
James Gregory, partner at Alder King in Swindon, commented: “Three times larger than its previous premises, this unit will provide The Mobility Store with good quality long-term engineering and storage space as well as a small office area.
“The property is in excellent condition, with generous car parking and easy access to the M4. It sits in a prominent roadside location on Wroughton Business Park which itself benefits from easy access on to the M4 via junction 16.”
The Hearing & Mobility Store Ltd has taken the property on a new five year lease. The unit was previously occupied by 1st Choice Cleaning.
Alder King represented the landlord MSH Properties while the occupier was unrepresented.
Other occupies on Wroughton Business Park include Prospect Hospice, Ridgeway Stoves and Stepfloors.
