Third letting brings full occupancy at Cardiff’s Whittle Road

Acting on behalf of the landlord Tanner’s, property consultancy Alder King has let the last remaining unit on Whittle Road, an established warehouse and trade counter area on Leckwith Industrial Estate in Cardiff.  

The properties on Whittle Road comprise a complex of six refurbished industrial/ warehouse/ trade counter units.

The last remaining unit, 16F Whittle Road has now been let to Welsh Porsche Specialists for a new workshop garage.  The Bridgend-based dealership has taken the 2,960 sq ft unit on a six year lease at a rent equivalent to £4.50 per sq ft.

The letting follows two earlier transactions at Whittle Road.  In late 2015 Alder King let the 3,030 sq ft Unit 16E to Mainport Training (Wales) Ltd on a five year term, and in January 2016 let the 3,750 sq ft Unit 16B to The Garage Door Centre on a 10 year term.

Alder King acted for the landlord in all three transactions while the occupiers were unrepresented.

Scott Jones of Alder King commented: “The strong demand along the western fringe of Cardiff should encourage landowners and developers to build new units which are now viable due to a lack of supply and rising rents.

“Freehold demand is also strong in the area with a number of clients seeking premises along and around Penarth Road and Hadfield Road.”
