Alder King completes on flurry of property deals in final quarter of 2012

Property consultants Alder King rounded off 2012 with the completion of nearly 23,000 sq ft of property deals across Gloucestershire in the final weeks of the year.

In Gloucester, Alder King let three industrial units on Waterwells Business Park.  Acting on behalf of Watkins Hire Ltd, it let Unit 2 Whitworth Court to Intelligent Deposit Systems Ltd which took the 4,963 sq ft (461 sq m) property on a new three year lease.

The adjacent Units 3 and 4 were also let on behalf of a private investor to Gloucester Freight Services Ltd.  The new occupier leased the 9,926 sq ft (922 sq m) units on a new five year lease at a stepped rental and is now trading successfully from the building.

Elsewhere on Waterwells Business Park, Alder King and joint agents Ash & Co secured the freehold sale of Unit 12 Stanley Court, a 1,410 sq ft (131 sq m) new industrial unit, to Kilbury Construction.  Alder King acted on behalf of Glenmore Commercial Estates.

In Quedgeley, acting on behalf of Ashtenne, Alder King let Unit 6 at Quadrant Distribution Centre to Whitson Conference & Events Ltd.   WCE, which supplies Audio Visual equipment to clients across the UK and internationally, has taken the 6,690 sq ft (622 sq m) warehouse on a new five year lease.  The new premises will address the company’s continued demand for space.

Robert Holley, agent at Alder King’s Gloucester office, said: “Although the economy remained challenging through 2012, there was still plenty of activity in the commercial property market in Gloucestershire.  It was very satisfying to see the completion of so many deals in the last few weeks of the year.”
