The Instruction
Alder King’s Property Management team is retained to manage three high-quality business parks in Somerset, developed by Summerfield Developments SW Limited.
Originally appointed in 1996 to act for the Management Companies for Blackbrook Business Park in Taunton and Chelston Business Park in Wellington, the Westpark 26 scheme was added to the portfolio in 2010.
Our Approach
Alder King has been responsible for procuring and managing the estate support services associated with the operating of all three parks’ external common areas and administering the associated estate service charge regime.
Blackbrook Business Park is a 37.5 acre site offering a strategic business location, situated at Taunton’s eastern gateway within a superb rural location, with views of the Blackdown and Quantock Hills. The site benefits from extensive landscaping within mature surroundings to provide a manicured environment for occupiers and visitors. Home to a raft of high profile occupiers including Ashfords, Porter Dobson, Clarke Willmott, WPA and the NHS, Blackbrook includes 29 units totalling 400,000 sq ft.
Westpark 26 is a 45 acre mixed-use business park conveniently located approximately half a mile from Junction 26 of the M5 motorway and fronting the A38. Westpark 26 has 139 units totalling 430,000 sq ft and on-site amenities including a 60-bed hotel, public house, a petrol filling station, convenience store and drive-thru restaurants. The scheme incorporates accommodation for employment in the form of terraced blocks and stand-alone buildings, providing warehouse, distribution, workshop and service yard accommodation.
Chelston Business Park is located in the heart of the Vale of Taunton and has been designed adopting landscaping to provide a pleasant business environment for light industrial, production and distribution occupiers. The 30 acre site includes 56 units totalling 270,000 sq ft.
