The Instruction

Redcliff Quarter is a mixed-use development in the heart of Bristol city centre.  The 2.5 acre site is bordered by Redcliff Street and St Thomas Street with the newly-created Cross Street providing a pedestrian link through the development.  Phase 1 comprises seven ground floor units with 246 residential apartments to the upper floors.  The second phase comprising the central build to rent site with a further 400+ homes was sold to the Newcastle-headquartered property firm Grainger plc in June 2022 and is now under construction.

Our Approach

Alder King is acting as sole agents in marketing the ground floor units.  The available accommodation comprises seven ground floor commercial units ranging from 1,024 to 4,539 sq ft GIA.  The units are finished to a developer’s shell and core specification and have been fitted with fully glazed shop fronts.  All units have Class E consent and are available by way of long leasehold or leasehold disposal.


Alder King’s retail agency team delivered the first letting to the upscale steakhouse and bar chain Pasture by way of long leasehold.  Pasture has exciting plans to open a new butcher’s shop, grocery, burger joint and breakfast offering in the unit which will form an extension of the existing Portwall Lane site.  The new Prime & Pasture will also create 50 new jobs in the city.
