Newport car showroom premises let to Wessex Garages

Acting on behalf of retail motor group Hartwell plc, property consultants Alder King in Cardiff have let a purpose-built car showroom on Newport Retail Park to Wessex Garages for its fourth dealership in Wales.

The property on Seven Stiles Road has just opened as a Wessex Hyundai dealership, completing a market area for the Hyundai brand with representation in both Cardiff and the Newport/Cwmbran area.  This compliments Wessex Garages’ existing Kia and Fiat operation which is on the adjacent site in Newport.   Wessex has taken the premises on a new 10 year lease at an undisclosed rent.

The premises provide a total of 30,509 sq ft of space, with a main showroom and workshop in one building and additional workshop and warehouse space in another directly adjoining Wessex’s Kia and Fiat premises.

The property is situated in a prominent position on Newport Retail Park which is home to over 20 national retail and leisure occupiers including Boots, Peacocks, Next, Tesco and M&S.
