Property expert elected regional chairman of FBE

Simon Price, partner and head of agency at property consultancy Alder King, has been elected chairman of the Great Western branch of the Forum for the Built Environment.

The FBE, a leading networking organisation for the property, development and construction industries, has over 2,000 members nationwide, including multi-national construction companies, architects, property developers and surveyors, planners, engineers and other service professionals.  

“After a challenging few years, those of us working in the property and construction industries are now seeing encouraging signs of renewed activity and confidence throughout the region,” says Price, “with speculative commercial development now underway in Bristol for the first time in four years.

“We were particularly pleased to see the Chancellor’s measures announced in last week’s Budget to stimulate the housing sector and progress infrastructure projects.  These are welcome shots in the arm for a sector that is such a key driver of the economy.”
