Former Somerset school campus sold
A former school campus site in Chilton Cantelo near Yeovil in Somerset has been sold to a private purchaser, achieving over the guide price of £1.95 million.
The sale of the 17.65 acre former Park School campus was negotiated by Alder King on behalf of liquidators PKF Francis Clark following the closure of the school in 2020.
The property includes a Grade II Listed 18th century manor house with numerous associated buildings and extensive grounds encompassing large areas of open space with sporting and playing field facilities.
Alder King partner Andrew Maynard said: “After launching the property onto the market in September, we received numerous expressions of interest from various parties. We are pleased to have now secured and finalised the sale to a local purchaser and thereby deliver a swift positive outcome for our client.”
Lucinda Coleman, head of business recovery at PKF Francis Clark, said: “We are very pleased to have found a local buyer for the site who was able to complete quickly and enable us to deliver an excellent return to all those who are owed money by the school.”
