Alder King has provided development consultancy and agency advice to the University of South Wales on its campus portfolio.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, we advised on the disposal of the University’s 5.5 hectare (13.6 acre) educational campus in Newport. The site was sold to a national housebuilder which has now commenced construction. We also provided the University with advice on its acquisition of a new waterside city campus.
Elsewhere in South Wales, we provided strategic property and planning advice in respect of the Glyntaff Campus in Pontypridd and Caerleon Campus on Lodge Road. Our report included:
- a review of the opportunities and constraints provided by the sites
- their planning prospects
- market review
- an assessment of the potential redevelopment and/or alternative use and disposal prospects
with implications for both campuses.
